Crowd Control Barricade Rental Calculator
Barricades price per unit per day, not per foot per month like fence. Under the hood: $8β$15 per barricade per day from our rate card, a volume break past 50 units, and $100β$500 to deliver and pick up.
Two honest notes. For a big event we price from a site map instead, since the layout sets the true unit count and the load-in time. And the load-in window matters as much as the count: a Saturday morning setup on a closed street is a different job from a Thursday drop into an empty lot.
How many do you need?
A standard steel barricade spans about eight feet. So divide the controlled length by eight, round the result up, and pad it for corners, gaps, and the spots people will cut through.
- A street closure: both ends, plus the sidewalk widths, plus anything mid-block.
- A stage front: its full width, plus a return run down either side.
- A race course: pinch points, start and finish, and every intersection, rather than the whole route.
- A licensed or ticketed area: the whole boundary, with entries you control.
Got a site map? Send it along; it beats any calculator on speed and accuracy.
Barriers or fence panels?
Different problems, and most events need both.
Barricades are for people: they guide a crowd, split it, and hold a line. They interlock, set up and strike fast, and are what you want on any public-facing edge.
Fence panels control the perimeter and sight lines: keeping a boundary closed overnight, screening back-of-house, holding a line nobody should cross. The fence cost calculator prices those.
The Mesa event calendar
Two overlapping pressures here that the rest of the Valley does not have in the same way.
General event season runs roughly October through April, because nobody holds an outdoor festival in July. The good weekends commit equipment across the whole metro at once.
Spring training, February and March, concentrates enormous activity in Mesa specifically. Ballpark-adjacent events, hospitality, and the associated street and lot activity all want the same equipment on the same weekends. If your date falls in that window, book early and mean it.
Summer availability, by contrast, is easy.
Wind, even for barricades
Bare barricades are low and heavy and handle gusts well, which is part of why they suit outdoor work here. Add banner or scrim to the fronts and you have a ground-level sail. Branded covers look excellent and change how the line behaves in a monsoon gust, so they get weighted and interlocked accordingly. Ask about it before the event rather than finding out during it.
When you send the estimate, attach the dates, your unit count, and a site map. What a normal order includes is laid out on the event fencing and barricade rental pages.
What will crowd control barriers cost?
Four questions, run against our published barricade rate. It gives the same ballpark we would give you on a call, before we have seen a site map.
Steel crowd control barricades run $8 to $15 per barricade per day on the pricing page, with volume discounts over 50 units, and delivery and pickup runs $100 to $500. Anything big gets priced off a site map, not a dropdown.

Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost to rent crowd control barriers?
Our rate is $8β$15 per barricade per day, cheaper per unit past 50 units, with $100β$500 for delivery and pickup based on quantity and distance. For a weekend event using 50 units, expect a total from the high hundreds into the low thousands, set by the layout and the load-in.
How many barriers do I need?
Each steel barricade covers about eight feet, so take the length you need to control, divide by eight, round up, and add a few for corners and for the gaps people will try to slip through. For a street closure, count both ends plus the sidewalk widths.
Can they be placed, or only dropped off?
We do both. Drop-and-go costs less and suits you if you have crew or volunteers to set them. With placed setup, our crew sets the line to your site map before your people show up. It changes the crew and the timing, so say which you want when you request a quote.
How far ahead should I book?
For October through April dates, as early as you can. Outdoor events across the Valley crowd into the cool months, and Mesa stacks spring training on top in February and March.
